SEC Delays BlackRock Ethereum Spot ETF
According to official documents, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has delayed the BlackRock Ethereum Spot ETF application, with a decision scheduled for March 10th.
The SEC stated:
The Commission believes that designating a longer period is appropriate so that it has sufficient time to consider the proposed rule change and address the issues raised therein.
Ethereum Spot ETF, May is the Key
Similar to the Bitcoin Spot ETF being delayed for an entire quarter in Q4 of last year, most ETF analysts believe that the final approval date in May is crucial.
SEC also delayed the Fidelity Ethereum Spot ETF on January 18th.

Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart stated:
In the coming months, sporadic delays in the Ethereum Spot ETF approval process will occur, with the next significant date being May 23rd.

Previously reported, despite issuers being optimistic about the Ethereum ETF, there seems to be significant internal opposition within the SEC.
