Do you still remember ETHW? The Github code has not been updated for over half a year, only born for dumping.

It has been 7 months since the Ethereum consensus mechanism transitioned from PoW to PoS. The ETH PoW hard fork version "ETHW," originally led by Chinese miner Baoye, caused quite a stir in the community. However, after all this time, the ETHW team seems to have done nothing, and ETHW has become a hard fork focused on printing money and dumping tokens.

ETHW's Github Code Has Not Been Updated for 7 Months

Bob Summerwill, Executive Director of the Ethereum Classic (ETC) non-profit organization ETC Cooperative, tweeted today that the forked version code of Geth, the official Ethereum client, for ETHW on Github has not been updated for the past 7 months.

"Well done, Pooplord and your friends," sarcastically commented Bob Summerwill.

While not updating the code is not necessarily a problem, according to The Block, "the EthereumPoW team may be facing challenges or not attempting to strengthen the Geth code."

In addition, Bob Summerwill also pointed out the issue facing the current cryptocurrency market, where the price of a coin provides very little "signal," as even low-cost community projects like ETHW can have a market value of over $3 billion.

Since its launch, the price of ETHW has been continuously declining, from a high of $121 to the current $3, confirming the statement made by ETC Cooperative in August last year: ETHW is led by insiders and is merely a hard fork created for printing money and dumping.
