The first documentary about Ethereum, "Ethereum: The Infinite Garden," is currently crowdfunding 750 Ether for production funding. It is inviting the community to participate through a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) model, while also integrating NFT art into the documentary, making it a groundbreaking move in the history of cinema.

According to a report by Coindesk, a documentary titled "Ethereum: The Infinite Garden" is currently raising 750 Ether through the website Mirror, which is approximately $1.5 million at the current price. As of now, 69.8 Ether has been raised. The Ether fundraising campaign will continue until Friday, July 16.

The documentary is produced by the film company Optimist, with Carrie Weprin as the producer and Zach Ingrasci and Chris Temple as co-directors. Carrie Weprin mentioned that the team aims to participate in a major film festival in 2023 and release the documentary on major streaming platforms.

Before deciding to make the documentary, Carrie Weprin and Zach Ingrasci had some involvement and understanding of the crypto ecosystem. After conducting interviews and filming, they developed a deeper appreciation for Ethereum.

This is the first documentary about Ethereum, and besides interviewing co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Ethereum Foundation's Executive Director Aya Miyaguchi, the production team will also interview developers involved in the development of "Ethereum’s World Computer."

Director Zach Ingrasci stated that using crypto crowdfunding as a way to fund the documentary allows the crypto community to participate in the film production.

"The film can have a DAO (decentralized autonomous organization) as our executive producer, which is very exciting. This is the first time in cinematic history. Of course, the executive producer will be someone in the community. That's why we want the community to participate as early as possible."

Additionally, the NFT poster for "Ethereum: The Infinite Garden," designed by crypto artist pplpleasr, can be purchased on Mirror, with each token representing a participation.

Connecting Vitalik Buterin and the production team is Morgan Beller, co-founder of Libra, who believes that Vitalik Buterin should have his story told:

"Because the Ethereum team is so pure, genuine, kind, and beautiful. If you're not in the crypto world and it's your first time learning about Ethereum, you might not necessarily see that. But I've always believed that if you could somehow see and understand the origin, the heart, and the mind behind all of this, people would understand and support it even more."
