Tron aims to be a decentralized application (DApp) platform primarily for entertainment. Developers can create DApps on the Tron blockchain platform. According to a report, the Odyssey 3.6 version will include new features to simplify DApp creation and provide security measures to exclude malicious participants. The main updates include:

  • Implementation of a lighter transaction processor, offering DApp developers a customizable transaction mechanism.
  • Enhanced protocol data checking to prevent malicious data on the chain.
  • Optimized P2P network and transaction broadcasting processes to improve security and stability.

The official blog also mentions that Tron's TPS (Transactions Per Second) on the public chain will exceed 10,000. However, data on their website shows that Tron currently processes only 2,000 transactions per second, compared to Ethereum's 25 and Bitcoin's 3-6. Former BitTorrent executives have criticized Tron for not meeting the transaction speed requirements of BitTorrent.

Founder of Tron, Sun Yuchen, known in the cryptocurrency community as a "marketing genius," recently made headlines by winning a record-breaking $4.56 million bid for an annual charity lunch with Warren Buffett. Sun also announced on Twitter on June 16 that he would attend an event with Litecoin founder Charlie Lee.

Given Buffett's previous harsh criticism of Bitcoin as "rat poison" and a "gambling device," but his acknowledgment of the importance of blockchain, there is considerable anticipation from various sectors and the cryptocurrency community regarding the potential outcomes of this meeting.
