DeFiLlama New Feature! Introducing LlamaSearch

Concerned about the rampant phishing links on Google ads that unintentionally harm people's assets, DeFiLlama founder 0xngmi has introduced a new Google extension to address this issue.

This feature is called "LlamaSearch." Once users download and authorize this feature, the search page of the browser will change to the following interface. When users search for a specific crypto protocol, options will appear to guide users to the correct website, thus avoiding phishing attacks.

For example, if someone searches for "Uniswap," the first option that appears is "Open Uniswap," which, when clicked, will directly take the user to the Uniswap homepage.

Additionally, search suggestions will display other options, such as checking the price of UNI tokens or NFT prices.

Moreover, users can input addresses in the search bar and choose to visit Etherscan, Debank, or LlamaFolio to view information related to the address.

With the help of LlamaSearch, user search security is ensured, although to some extent, it may compromise the convenience of the original browsing interface.

Is LlamaSearch Secure in Terms of Privacy?

• Privacy-friendly: No search results are sent to LlamaSearch servers; all searches are conducted locally.
• Minimal permissions: Only requires permissions for new tab pages.
• Support for custom search engines such as DDG or Bing...
• The domain list is manually entered by DeFiLlama.
