Another Blockchain Phone! Polygon Technology to be Integrated into Nothing

After Solana announced the launch of the blockchain phone Saga next year, Ethereum scaling solution Polygon also revealed a partnership with the startup tech company Nothing to integrate Polygon's technology into Nothing's first phone, Nothing Phone (1).

Polygon Partners with Nothing

The startup company Nothing, founded by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, gained significant attention in the headphone market last year with the launch of its first product, the Nothing Ear 1 wireless earbuds.

According to an announcement by Polygon, the collaboration with Nothing includes an NFT loyalty program and the technological integration with the upcoming smartphone, Nothing Phone 1.

Those who supported Nothing in its crowdfunding campaign and those who pre-ordered the Nothing Phone 1 will be eligible to receive the " Nothing’s Black Dot " NFT. This NFT will be issued on Polygon, and holders will have access to exclusive community content, participate in offline events, and enjoy perks such as product discounts.

In addition, the highly anticipated new phone from Nothing is a focal point of the collaboration. Through technological integration, the Android-based Nothing Phone 1 will seamlessly access apps and games on Polygon, payment systems, and upcoming features like Polygon ID and zero-knowledge proofs.

"I believe this is one of the most important things a phone can do. With scalability issues resolved, we can now bring this technology to phones and enable the next hundreds of millions of users to enter the world of Web3," said Arjun Kalsy, Head of Growth at Polygon.

The price and detailed specifications of the Nothing Phone 1 have not been disclosed yet. The launch event is scheduled for July 12th at 11 PM Taiwan time, and only community members with an invitation code can pre-order.
