After development and beta testing in a few countries and regions, the cryptocurrency project Worldcoin led by Sam Altman has launched the World App ecosystem wallet, which not only allows for World ID identity verification but also enables users to regularly receive free World tokens.

Introduction to Worldcoin Ecosystem Wallet - World App

World App is the first product launched by the Worldcoin ecosystem and is currently available for users worldwide. It can be downloaded from the mobile app store here.

World App is primarily used to verify each user's World ID identity. Users can use their World ID to log in to websites, applications, and DApps without revealing any personal information.

After completing the registration process for World App, users can undergo Orb iris scanning device verification on the World ID page to obtain their exclusive World ID. However, as of now, Taiwan has not introduced any Orbs, so this step cannot be completed unless one travels to another country.

Upon successful verification of the World ID, users in eligible countries can claim Worldcoin tokens regularly. During the current testing phase, tokens can be claimed weekly and are expected to change to a monthly distribution in the future. However, Worldcoin tokens are not live yet and are anticipated to be launched in the first half of this year.

In addition to identity verification, World App also supports various wallet-related functions. Users can make payments and withdrawals in USD and cryptocurrencies, supported by payment service providers Ramp and MoonPay. After synchronizing with the phone's contact list, assets can be sent directly. Furthermore, with integration with Uniswap, World App allows for cryptocurrency purchases.

Note: Wallet-related functions are still in the testing phase and run on Polygon. Deposit functionality has not been officially opened after testing, so the full functionality cannot be experienced at the moment.

In addition to the mentioned functions, World App also provides cryptocurrency beginner tutorials. Upon completing all courses, users can receive a $9 cryptocurrency reward.

World App Usage Data

According to official statistics from Worldcoin, since the pre-release of World App last year, the accumulated monthly user count has exceeded 500,000, with a total of over 1.5 million users. Currently, approximately 60,000 transactions are generated daily, and 25,000 World ID verifications are conducted.
