Coinbase and Google Cloud congratulate EigenLayer on the mainnet launch: now a node operator

With the launch of the mainnet of the re-collateralization project EigenLayer, two major cloud service providers, Google Cloud and Coinbase Cloud, have both congratulated the project and referred to it as a node operator, establishing a partnership with EigenLayer.

Google Cloud and Coinbase Cloud become EigenLayer node operators

Coinbase Cloud, the cloud division of Coinbase, tweeted yesterday to congratulate and revealed their collaboration with the project:

Coinbase Cloud is honored to be one of the first node operators for the protocol, providing reliable security services for users who re-stake ETH or LST.

Meanwhile, Google Cloud product manager Sam Padilla also revealed that the company has been participating in Eigen's testnet construction since November last year with 65 other teams as node operators and will continue to be involved.

Reportedly, Coinbase Cloud has approximately 290 ETH TVL; while Google Cloud has about 218 ETH.

Additionally, several large companies have joined the ranks of EigenLayer node operators, including Deutsche Telekom MMS, P2P, Nethermind, Figment, Swell, and Kiln.

EigenLayer mainnet launched, TVL reaches $13.9 billion

As a re-staking protocol, EigenLayer enables Ethereum staking users to delegate their ETH or LST tokens to node operators to secure EigenDA and receive corresponding rewards, enhancing the security and scalability of Ethereum.

Yesterday, their mainnet officially launched, with detailed payment reward features and penalty mechanisms to be introduced after node operators and AVS market stabilization.
