.xyz domain service launches new feature "eth.xyz" to help ENS users showcase personal pages and NFT collections!

The generic top-level domain " .xyz" of the Domain Name System (DNS) announced a new service on the 20th, called Eth.xyz. Ethereum Name Service (ENS) users can simply add .xyz to the end of their domain name .eth to transform their personal profile page into a shareable web address URL.

Top-Level Domain .xyz

The .xyz domain has now exceeded 3 million registrations worldwide. In 2018, .XYZ collaborated with ENS for the first time, allowing Ethereum wallet addresses to be paired with .xyz domains. This means that users can use a name like "wagmi.xyz" as their wallet address name. When an address is needed for various transactions, there is no longer a need to copy the standard wallet address composed of a long string of alphanumeric characters.

New Feature Eth.xyz

Eth.xyz is a new feature launched by the .xyz team. ENS users can add .xyz to the end of their domain name, such as .eth, to turn it into a personal profile URL that can be opened by any browser.

For example, taking the domain name of ENS founder Nick Johnson, Nick.eth, if you enter nick.eth.xyz in the browser's address bar, you can see his profile picture and basic personal information such as email and Twitter. Additionally, at the bottom of the page, there is an NFT display feature that shows the NFTs owned by this address.

Clicking on an NFT of interest will even display its description and OpenSea URL.

Note: Domain owners can decide whether to display the above personal information.

Through the new feature provided by the .xyz team, it is easier to search for wallet addresses and personal information, and it provides a convenient NFT display page. This feature is currently in the testing phase, and any feedback or ideas can be submitted on Github.

ENS Operations Director Brantly Millegan also showcased his Ethereum account page on Twitter, expressing that this is a super cool application.
