EM3 | CodyFight Interview: Pioneering a new game format in the Metaverse, where players compete with artificial intelligence algorithms

With the booming development of the Gamefi market, various types of games have emerged in addition to Play-to-Earn. CodyFight is a game based on artificial intelligence and human competition on the blockchain, allowing players to compete with AI algorithms and create a new type of gameplay. The EM3 community recently invited game guilds and CodyFight for an interview. Below is the content of the text interview:

Introduce Yourself and CodyFight?

My name is Greta, and I am the COO of CodyFight, responsible for managing the project operations. Codyfight is a blockchain-based metaverse that combines artificial intelligence with human competition, gathering creative, tech-savvy, and versatile individuals in a community-driven game. Our goal is to create a platform where participants can compete one-on-one, win battles, and then compete against artificial intelligence algorithms. Goals and Issues CodyFight Aims to Solve?

We believe that artificial intelligence will not be fully controlled by humans; it can be a vital part of society. Therefore, our vision is to enhance the impact of artificial intelligence and interact and compete with humans. Even in a game that involves coding, anyone can join the CodyFight community, become a member, and earn profits. The CodyFight community includes interactive games between artificial intelligence and humans, where artists can generate passive income and community leaders can organize competitive events.

The most distinctive feature of CodyFight is the balance between artificial intelligence and humans, allowing fair competition. The unique benefit is the ability to expand robot farms, where multiple robots can be online simultaneously and participate in various competitions without human supervision.

CodyFight Team Members and Their Experience?

Behind the project is a team of game enthusiasts and versatile individuals. The founder started this project as a side project two years ago, and we have spent a lot of time building the game. CodyFight has seen rapid development in recent months. We now have 8 professionals proficient in various fields, including software engineering, art, gaming, marketing, and blockchain. Most importantly, CodyFight is supported by DeRace.

$CTOK Features and Its Use in CodyFight?

First and foremost, it is the native token that drives the CodyFight ecosystem. In the game, it can be used as an entry fee and to purchase NFT skins. Players can earn rewards in arenas, elimination matches, challenge matches, and artists can generate passive income by selling NFT skins. Developers can earn profits through coding.

Additionally, players can provide liquidity to earn rewards, and the development of the entire metaverse will be decided through DAO voting. The simplest and most effective way to earn profits by holding $CTOK long-term is through the appreciation of NFT skins. In the future, we will also develop valuable in-game items to encourage players to hold $CTOK.

How Does Building on Ethereum Reduce Costs and Maximize Profits?

We will use the latest technology to keep gas fees low, and layer2 solutions are expected to be introduced next year, which we will closely monitor. We are planning to bridge to BSC and Polygon recently, ensuring that all NFTs in the game and the entire ecosystem run synchronously, so players do not have to bear high gas fees.

How Does the Game Mechanism Work?

Codyfight is a one-on-one artificial intelligence coding web game that can be played by multiple participants, operating on a turn-based system. It can be likened to a chess game for programmers, where players control a battling robot using artificial intelligence or human operation. The game takes place on a 2D tilemap that dynamically changes in size.

A game consists of 10 rounds, with each player having 25 move opportunities per round. Each move allows players to choose an action: up, down, left, right, or stay still. While the game controls are straightforward, the strategy formulation is not easy. Players must continuously understand the dynamic state of the game field and make corresponding moves to win.

What Does the Marketplace Offer? How Does It Activate the CodyFight Economy?

The Codyfight ecosystem encompasses many critical aspects. CodyFight earnings depend on game skills (adaptability, programming ability, scalability, game analysis), and investment knowledge. The top 40% of the community members will receive higher rewards, and they will use their income to purchase NFTs in the marketplace to allow the other 60% to profit. Codyfight also shares through the Free to Play and Play to Earn game modes. Game artists can generate passive income by creating and selling NFT skins in the community store, while developers can earn income through coding, game battles, and robot sales. Community leaders earn revenue by organizing customized competitions and tournaments.

What Does CodyFight Want to Share or Discuss?

I want to emphasize that CodyFight's mission is to provide various opportunities for talented individuals to showcase their skills and receive corresponding rewards. Every player can find a suitable way to earn within this community, and more importantly, CodyFight offers the opportunity to scale their earnings without spending a lot of time training for the game.

What Competitive Advantages Does CodyFight Have Compared to Games with Continuous Updates or New Products?

CodyFight aims to create a new opportunity where different individuals can join the community, including gamers, developers, artists, collectors, investors, and community leaders. Our game features NFT skin and Ckeys-powered robots that can be traded in the marketplace or elsewhere, used in the game arena, or expanded in robot farms to maximize rewards. CodyFight provides a scalable model for players, unlike some game modes that are time-consuming, encouraging creativity and attracting talented individuals. The community store in the community produces and sells NFT skins, generating passive income for artists, and organizing official tournaments through custom game rules benefits organizers, participants, and players.

What Unique Features Can Bring Profits to Users, Players, and Investors?

Our game offers multiple ways to earn profits, including winning robot competitions, creating and trading NFT skins outside the game, organizing official tournaments, and sharing and trading knowledge, robots, NFT skins, and completing daily challenges for small rewards.

Community Questions

In the Codyfight roadmap, it is stated that the beta version will be released in 2022. However, considering the ongoing bear market, the gamefi trend may have subsided by then. What measures will CodyFight take and how will it operate when the bear market arrives?

Releasing the game as soon as possible is advantageous for us, but we want to ensure that the version we release is suitable for mass participation. We also want to emphasize that we are a long-term development project, focusing more on the game to generate interest and incentivize creative and talented individuals to join. We are not afraid of the bear market because our goal is long-term, and short-term events are not our primary concern. We know what to do to ensure long-term success.

Do You Have Your Programming Language, or Do You Use Existing Languages like C++ or Python?

In terms of coding, CodyFight's robots can be developed using any programming language! All instructions need to be sent to the CodyFight Game API.

From the gameplay explanation, it is evident that AI players have a significant advantage, while human-controlled robots are at a disadvantage. Therefore, players not using AI may have concerns before participating in the game. How will Codyfight market this game to players who do not use AI to alleviate their concerns?

In the game, players will not know if they are playing against a human or AI. Those who do not code can use keyboard controls. Additionally, they can purchase robots from other players or learn programming languages by developing basic functionalities.

Live Questions

Will You Consider Developing on Mobile Devices?

We currently do not have plans to develop a mobile application as it seems redundant at the moment. The game can be easily controlled on any device. Our founder even tested it using an Apple Watch.

What Security Measures Have Been Taken to Prevent Bugs and Similar Issues?

Before releasing the Beta version, we will launch an Alpha version for community evaluation and testing to gather feedback on potential errors or additional features.

Will Using Different Languages or Coding Methods Affect Win Rates?

That will not affect game quality. The game system is compatible with every programming language through APIs.
