Balancer front-end suffers hacker attack! Loss estimated at $238,000.
The DeFi protocol Balancer announced this morning that its web front-end was hacked, resulting in a loss of approximately $238,000. The official team is currently working on resolving the issue urgently and advises users to refrain from using Balancer temporarily to avoid falling victim to phishing attacks.

Balancer Frontend Targeted in Hacker Attack
Regarding the recent incident, cybersecurity firm SlowMist stated that Balancer was hit by a BGP hijacking attack, with malicious JavaScript code injected into Balancer's web frontend. Clicking on wallet links on Balancer's website could lead to asset loss.
Currently, accessing the Balancer website triggers a security warning from MetaMask.
According to SlowMist's money flow tracker, the stolen funds have been transferred to an address starting with 0x6457, totaling around $238,000. Additionally, on Avalanche, the hacker moved about 15.4 WETH to an address starting with 0xf99.
Balancer's official team is currently investigating the hack and working with relevant organizations to ensure the full recovery of Balancer's UI. They also advise against any interactions with Balancer for the time being.
The Balancer DAO is actively addressing the current DNS attack and is working with all relevant parties to ensure the full recovery of the Balancer UI.

Balancer's BAL Token Price Slightly Drops
According to data from DeFiLlama, the attack on Balancer did not have a significant impact on the Total Value Locked (TVL), but the token price experienced a slight daily decrease of approximately 2.7%.
