It is reported that this information has been confirmed by multiple sources, with many early Uniswap employees following the project's Twitter account.

AzFlin Admits Creating $FRENS Token

Just 40 minutes after UniswapVillain's tweet, AzFlin promptlyadmitted that he was the creator of $FRENS:

Yes, I made the token. But I didn't rug, I just sold my $FRENS tokens from my liquidity pool. As a developer, I have the right to do whatever I want with it.

He alsostated, "For those who think I rug 14 ETH, that's called a dev tax, it's mine."

Is Uniswap Aware of This?

UniswapVillain also mentioned in the post that Uniswap's lead designer bku was thefirst follower of the $FRENS project, fueling speculation about whether other employees at Uniswap were aware of or involved in the project.

Uniswap Founder Responds

Uniswap founder Hayden Adams promptlyresponded to the incident, stating that such behavior goes against Uniswap's values.

We fired AzFlin because this is not behavior we support or condone.

The decisionis seen as a crucial commitment to maintaining Uniswap's reputation and ethical standards, as creating meme coins and rug pulling is unacceptable and potentially illegal in the crypto industry.

However, Hayden Adams did not comment on why many early employees were the first followers of the project, raising questions about transparency within Uniswap for users and the community.
