Stablecoin issuer Ethena has been a hot topic recently, with the governance token "ENA" airdrop set to take place today on 4/2. There are also rumors circulating that decentralized stablecoin protocol MakerDAO is considering allocating $600 million worth of stablecoin DAI to USDe, and pledging USDe through the DeFi lending protocol Morpho Labs.

USDe Annualized Return Rate Reaches 35.4%

Specializing in developing stablecoin issuers that do not rely on traditional finance, Ethena issues the stablecoin USDe, which hedges price risks using users' collateral ETH and maintains its peg to the US dollar through perpetual contracts for shorting, hedging with Delta to ensure that returns or losses of any asset are offset against each other.

According to their website, Ethena's collateral includes stETH, WBETH, mETH, ETH, and 27% USDT, with a total locked value of $1.56 billion and an annualized return rate of up to 35.4%. This accounts for approximately 1.74% of the total supply of Ethereum stablecoins.

MakerDAO Proposes Investing Six Billion in USDe

According to a proposal by MakerDAO, it suggests investing $6 billion of DAI into USDe, with the potential to gradually increase this scale with Ethena's development. With MakerDAO's $6 billion investment, it will significantly increase the supply of USDe, which currently has a total locked value of $1.56 billion.

Seraphim Czecker, the head of development at Ethena, stated on X that although it is currently in the proposal stage, if confirmed by the MakerDAO community, this move will lock in the growth of Ethena's total value "in line with internal expectations."

Governance Token "ENA" Launches Airdrop

Ethena will airdrop the governance token "ENA" today on 4/2. This airdrop will distribute 750 million ENA tokens, accounting for 5% of the total supply. The claiming website is Claim.ethena.fi.

Binance Launchpool will also end this morning and list the ENA token at 4:00 PM, including trading pairs such as ENA/BTC, ENA/USDT, ENA/BNB, ENA/FDUSD, and ENA/TRY.
