Layer2 network Blast, created by NFT marketplace Blur and venture capital Paradigm, announced that they will airdrop the token BLAST at 10 PM Taiwan time on 6/26. The first phase of the airdrop will distribute 17 billion BLAST tokens.

Blast officially launches its mainnet, allowing users to compete for points using on-chain protocols.

BLAST Phase One Airdrop Initiated

Blast will conduct its first airdrop on June 26 at 10 p.m. Taipei time, with an expected distribution of 17 billion BLAST tokens. Users can register on the mainnet in advance to check token allocations. For more information, please refer to the official website.

The total supply of BLAST is 1,000 billion tokens, with 7% flowing to users who provide liquidity through bridging with ETH or Blast's stablecoin USDB. Additionally, users earning Blast Gold through decentralized applications will receive an additional 7% in the initial airdrop, and the remaining 3% will be donated to the Blur Foundation for "distribution to the Blur community for traceability and future airdrops."

BLAST Token Economics

Blast has outlined more token economic details beyond the June 26 airdrop. The protocol will allocate 50% of the total token supply of 1,000 billion to the community and plans to conduct additional community airdrops over the next three years. The token economics report indicates that core contributors will receive 25.5% of the token supply, while investors and the Blast Foundation will receive 16.5% and 8% respectively.
