The security teams PeckShield and SlowMist have issued warnings and explanations regarding this incident. According to the media outlet BlockBeats reporting, SlowMist's analysis indicates that the attacker used malicious contracts to authorize users of the cross-chain bridge to transfer NUM to a specified address; however, the amount of damage is minimal, worth just over $10,000.

Numbers Protocol is a very well-known technical team in Taiwan, with investors including Race Capital founding partner Phil Chen, YouTube co-founder Steve Chen, and Twitch co-founder Kevin Lin.
