Binance Resumes Euro Deposits and Withdrawals, Trading Services

According to a announcement made by Binance on October 19, the exchange has found new partners to resume euro deposits, withdrawals, and trading services.

Binance will resume/add the following services:

  • Providing euro deposits and withdrawals through Open Banking and SEPA/SEPA Instant

  • Buying and selling cryptocurrencies with bank cards

  • Trading cryptocurrencies with fiat currencies

  • Euro spot trading pairs

The Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) includes 36 countries within the EU that support euro payments without cash.

Binance Partner Paysafe Suspends Services Successively

Binance's payment partner, Paysafe, suspended euro deposit and withdrawal services for Binance on September 28, following a similar suspension of GBP services in March this year.

However, Binance managed to resume the services for European users in less than a month.

In fact, Binance has faced numerous regulatory challenges in the first three quarters of this year, especially when dealing with European countries:

  • United Kingdom: Binance UK division has ceased its registration with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

  • Netherlands: Binance announced its exit from the Dutch market and only provided withdrawal services after mid-July

  • Germany: Binance faced rejection for registration in June, with a spokesperson confirming the voluntary withdrawal of the license application in Germany

  • Austria: The license application in Austria has been canceled, and the exchange plans to re-enter the EU under the MiCA framework

  • France Investigation: Reports of Binance being investigated for money laundering in France were refuted by Zhao Changpeng

However, after swift adjustments to its operations, some of Binance's subsidiaries have resumed services, such as in Belgium:
