German and UK Customers Can Now Link PayPal to Coinbase
Customers of Coinbase in Germany and the UK have a new option for buying and selling cryptocurrencies! In addition to linking with bank accounts and using debit cards, they can now choose to pay with PayPal. By directly linking to the PayPal login screen, users can conduct cryptocurrency transactions using their PayPal accounts.
Daniel Seifert, Vice President and General Manager for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at Coinbase, stated:
Coinbase's mission is to increase economic freedom worldwide, which means enabling customers to interact and participate in the crypto economy more easily, securely, and quickly. We are excited to partner with PayPal to offer another fast, secure, and convenient way for our customers in Germany and the UK to buy cryptocurrencies.
PayPal is a leader in the payment industry, and its years of experience in the payment ecosystem ensure transparency, performance, and security in its services. The collaboration between PayPal and Coinbase provides robust security features, including encryption and fraud monitoring.
Currently, the partnership between Coinbase and PayPal is available in the US, Canada, the UK, and Germany. Coinbase plans to expand its service options to other EU countries in the coming months.
Will Coinbase and PayPal Further Collaborate?
In mid-August, there were reports that PayPal would temporarily suspend its cryptocurrency purchase services in the UK. PayPal only offers customers in the UK the ability to buy, sell, and hold cryptocurrencies. Customers do not receive actual cryptocurrencies; they purchase the rights to cryptocurrencies, which are held by arrangements with other PayPal group companies and third-party crypto service providers.
Now, with the collaboration with Coinbase, will there be an opportunity for another form of partnership?
