RWA is Heating Up! Tether Joins the Fray
Last week, Tether announced that its Chief Technology Officer, Paolo Ardoino, will be promoted to the position of the company's new CEO, expected to take effect in December of this year.
The day after this announcement, Ardoino took to Twitter to share new developments regarding the future of Tether, stating, "Tether's real-world ecosystem RWE is coming." This seems to hint at Tether's plans to introduce services or assets related to RWA in the future.
In response to this, Alex Svanevik, CEO of the on-chain data platform Nansen, previously mentioned in his predictions that the RWA protocol will make its mark next year, and the tokenization of treasuries will have a significant impact on the supply of stablecoins, with Circle and Tether possibly entering this field.
From the current progress, it appears that Tether is indeed moving in this direction.

Additionally, in an interview with The Block, Ardoino also mentioned, "Tether will soon announce a new platform that leverages Tether's experience in building financial technology, focusing on real-world assets."
However, the new product will not overshadow the position of USDT in Tether's priorities, as Ardoino stated that USDT will remain a key product, with the company firmly committed to its growth.
