Grayscale's wallet address exposed! Holding over 600,000 bitcoins, it is the second largest bitcoin-holding institution.
Although cryptocurrency fund company Grayscale regularly publishes asset reports, it has always cited "security considerations" as the reason for not disclosing its on-chain address information. However, the on-chain data platform Arkham announced today that it has identified the on-chain address of GBTC, the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, and discovered that Grayscale is the world's second-largest Bitcoin holding institution.

Grayscale's Bitcoin Addresses Revealed, Holding Over 600,000 Bitcoins
According to a tweet by Arkham, Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust holds assets spread across over 1,750 addresses, each holding no more than 1,000 bitcoins, totaling a staggering 627,000 bitcoins valued at around $16.1 billion.
Data from the Arkham platform shows that the total assets identified in the Grayscale addresses amount to $21.1 billion. Apart from Bitcoin, they also hold around 3 million ETH valued at nearly $5 billion. Additionally, Grayscale holds significant amounts of LINK, MATIC, and UNI, each worth over $1 million.
Grayscale Ranks Second in Bitcoin Holdings, Following Binance
According to data from Arkham, Grayscale's total Bitcoin holdings have surpassed the 226,000 held by the exchange Bitfinex, making it the second-largest Bitcoin holding entity. It follows Binance, which holds 666,000 bitcoins.
