CZ Denied Permission to Travel Abroad for the Second Time
According to CoinDesk, U.S. District Judge Richard Jones in Washington denied Binance founder Zhao Changpeng (CZ) permission to travel on December 27.
Although the judge initially found no significant risk of flight for CZ, he decided to prohibit CZ from traveling after a review of the bail order, marking the second time CZ's request to travel has been denied.

Zhao Changpeng's Defense Team Requests Document Sealing
CZ and his defense team have requested that certain documents related to his travel plans be sealed, citing sensitive information such as CZ's children's privacy and medical details that require sealing.
As the sealing order signed by Judge Richard Jones is not public, the reasons for denying CZ's exit are not known.
Previous reasons included concerns about CZ's assets being uncontrollable, CZ having freedom of movement in the U.S., and the ability of his family to visit the U.S.
Sentencing Hearing Set for February
CZ's sentencing hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on February 23, 2024, Pacific Time, to be held at the Western District Court in Washington.
If CZ insists on not appearing in court, he could face a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
