QR-Bill Technology Application

Bitcoin Suisse employs QR-Bill technology, requiring Lugano residents to scan the QR code on the invoice to make cryptocurrency payments.

Armin Schmid, the Product Manager at Bitcoin Suisse, stated that this is a complementary solution to traditional payment methods such as post offices and bank counters.

Following the successful implementations in the cities of Zug, the canton of Zug, and Zermatt, Lugano has become the latest Swiss city to officially accept cryptocurrency payments.
