Expanding Cryptocurrency Payment Options
Driven by the efforts of cryptocurrency service provider Bitcoin Suisse, the southern Swiss city of Lugano has expanded its options for tax and community fee payments to include cryptocurrencies such as BTC and USDT.
According to an announcement by Bitcoin Suisse, this service was previously limited to online payments but has now been extended to all invoices of any service nature and amount.
This initiative is also part of the B Project promoted by Tether, aiming to transform the city's financial system through the use of USDT and BTC, with specific goals of integrating blockchain technology into daily life.

QR-Bill Technology Application
Bitcoin Suisse employs QR-Bill technology, requiring Lugano residents to scan the QR code on the invoice to make cryptocurrency payments.
Armin Schmid, the Product Manager at Bitcoin Suisse, stated that this is a complementary solution to traditional payment methods such as post offices and bank counters.
Following the successful implementations in the cities of Zug, the canton of Zug, and Zermatt, Lugano has become the latest Swiss city to officially accept cryptocurrency payments.
