Former FTX executive testifies: Gave blank check to SBF's brother, once cautioned SBF and was criticized: Short-sighted.
Following testimonies from former Alameda COO Caroline Ellison and former FTX CTO Gary Wang, former FTX Head of Engineering Nishad Singh also confirmed in court on the 16th that SBF was fully aware of the misappropriation of FTX assets. At present, it seems that SBF's defense has no effective countermeasures.

Nishad Singh confirmed several things in this court hearing:
It was clear that a large amount of spending was misappropriating FTX funds.
Alameda misappropriated FTX client funds to me, which were then used for investments, expenses, and political donations.
Former FTX executive Ryan Salame allocated various political donations and received approval from me.
He admitted in front of the jury:
My role is just to be a person who clicks the approve button.
Is SBF's Brother Also Involved?
Nishad Singh also revealed that he had provided a blank check to SBF's brother, Gabriel Bankman-Fried, for a series of political donations.
These donations were mainly aimed at Democratic political figures in order to improve FTX's image.
Warned SBF to No Avail: Vision Needs to Be Broadened
In September 2022, after discovering a severe shortage of user funds at FTX, Nishad Singh urged SBF to stop what he was doing.
Despite facing an $8 billion funding gap, SBF was unwilling to cut any endorsement fees or other expenses, believing that Nishad Singh had a narrow vision.
Bahamas Luxury Apartment Led by SBF
Although Nishad Singh and some team members believed that the real estate investment in the Bahamas was too extravagant and wasteful, he pointed out that SBF greatly appreciated that top-notch apartment and continued with the acquisition.

Courtroom Anecdotes: SBF Has No Medicine to Take
SBF's legal team once protested that SBF lacked the medication "Adderall" for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and narcolepsy during the trial, claiming that this would affect SBF's ability to defend himself.
However, this was rejected by presiding judge Lewis Kaplan, who believed it was a tactic by the defense to delay the trial and there was no medical evidence to support the claim that SBF needed medication.
SBF's defense team is expected to cross-examine Nishad Singh on the evening of October 17th, Taiwan time.
