@CyversAlerts reported that a wallet address irregularly withdrew 5000 ETH from the HTX Huobi hot wallet yesterday. Despite the warning, there was no immediate response at the time.

HTX Huobi Warns Through Blockchain Message
"We have verified your real identity. Please return the funds to 0x18709E89BD403F470088aBDAcEbE86CC60dda12e. We will provide you with a 5% white hat bonus. This offer is valid for 7 days, with a deadline of October 2, 2023. If you do not return the funds by the deadline, we will involve the judicial authorities." Blockchain Message
Hacked But Silent?
Venture partner Adam Cochran questioned why HTX, knowing they were hacked and sending a blockchain message to the hacker, did not notify users. The direct transfer of funds from the hot wallet clearly indicates a leaked private key.
Huobi/HTX was also hacked this morning, or rather realized that their hot wallet had been compromised.
They put an onchain message but didn't alert users.
The fact that it was a straight send means hotwallet key was directly compromised.

Justin Sun: Nearly 8 Million Euros "Minor Loss," Will Fully Compensate!
Justin Sun stated that the losses will be fully compensated, ensuring the safety of both users and the platform. He further stated, "Compared to the $3 billion in assets held by HTX users, $8 million is a very small number. This is also equivalent to just two weeks of revenue for the HTX platform. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao commented, "You just changed your name to something similar to FTX a week ago...".
He then mentioned that it was a joke and they will fully assist in tracking down the hacker.
