Huobi Launches FTX Account Balance Checking Service

Huobi has announced the launch of a balance checking service for FTX accounts in order to closely monitor the progress of FTX's handling of the recent events in collaboration with creditors.

According to their website Check FTX Balance on Huobi, creditors can use this service for free without the need to register with Huobi.

Check FTX Balance on Huobi Interface

Previously reported, the FTX claims agent Kroll has sent confirmation letters to users with positive balances in their accounts as of November 11, 2022, providing a customer identification code (CID) and the asset quantities in their accounts before FTX's closure.

Users can check their information on Huobi using the CID code.

Attention FTX Creditors: If you have not received the confirmation letter by 3/31, please contact FTX claims agent Kroll.

Huobi advisor Sun Yuchen mentioned that their subsidiary exchange, Poloniex, has also introduced a similar checking feature: poloniex.com/FTX.

FTX Customers Search Tool Closed

In a previous report, the search tool "FTX Customers Search Tool" developed by Taiwanese developers has been shut down due to various reasons, including:

  1. Too much psychological pressure and exhaustion.

  2. Belief that the search tool has served over 90% of Taiwanese users.

  3. Operational cost issues.

Developer Michael Kuan stated on Twitter that the service will be restarted in the future but will rely on advertising for operational costs, and will include registration and invitation mechanisms. The service will be closed once a certain daily query limit is reached.

However, Michael Kuan later clarified that he is an individual developer and while operational costs are a concern, they are not the sole reason for the closure of the service, and there are no plans to restart the service in the future.
