Alameda Research has restructured its team and filed a lawsuit against the bankruptcy lending platform Voyager Digital, seeking to recover the $445.8 million loan that Alameda had repaid to Voyager after it filed for bankruptcy protection last July.
The Block reported that legal documents filed by the restructuring representative mentioned that Voyager and other cryptocurrency lending platforms facilitated misconduct involving Alameda Research. If further evidence emerges of Alameda paying more funds to Voyager, Alameda may seek to recover additional funds, including seeking reimbursement for legal fees.
The lawyers pointed out that Voyager and other lenders failed to conduct proper due diligence, intentionally or unintentionally, providing funds to Alameda and enabling misconduct.
Voyager Digital has not responded to the lawsuit.
