Vidente is the largest shareholder of Bithumb, holding approximately 34.22% of Bithumb Holdings' shares. It is reported that the vice president of Vidente, Mr. Park, is under investigation by the South Korean prosecutors for his alleged involvement in corruption and stock price manipulation within the management of Bithumb. Mr. Park is a key suspect in this case and was responsible for the accounting work under the control of the behind-the-scenes owners of Bithumb, Mr. Kang and his sister Ms. Kang.
The report suggests that some suspect Mr. Park committed suicide because the Kang siblings shifted all the blame for embezzlement and stock price manipulation onto him.
