Miami Bitcoin Conference Concludes, Taking Stock of the WTF Moments Happening at the Event
At the beginning of this month, a two-day Bitcoin conference (Bitcoin 2021) was held in Miami, specifically focusing on Bitcoin-related topics. The event attracted a record-breaking attendance of 50,000 people, making it the largest Bitcoin public event in history. Notably, there were many astonishing moments that took place during these two days of the event.

Max Keizer: F*ck Elon!
American television and broadcast host, as well as a well-known Bitcoin believer, Max Keiser shouted loudly on stage before starting a conversation with MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor:
"We're not selling! F*ck Elon!"
While this action elicited a response from the audience, many also felt that it made the event seem too much like a sales pitch.
After Elon Musk criticized Bitcoin's energy consumption and caused a price drop, he posted a broken heart emoji last week, implying that he had broken up with Bitcoin. That tweet caused Bitcoin's price to drop by about 5%, and the hacker group Anonymous pointed out that Musk's recent criticism of Bitcoin was to obtain government subsidies.
What further angered Bitcoin supporters was that during Bitcoin's crash, Musk seemingly pumped a token named CumRocket on Twitter through emojis, causing the token's price to skyrocket several times.
Even though Musk later changed his profile picture to a meme of an anime girl with laser eyes (a unique meme in the Bitcoin community), it did not help the weakened Bitcoin.
Floyd Mayweather Steps In
Renowned boxer Floyd Mayweather appeared at the Bitcoin conference and took the stage for an interview. Reports mentioned that he was wearing a shirt with the EthereumMax EMAX logo on it. The token is a sponsor of Mayweather's boxing match with YouTuber Logan Paul and claims to be the only cryptocurrency that can be used to purchase boxing tickets.
When Mayweather took the stage, he had changed out of his EMAX shirt into one representing his jewelry brand "50 Karat." Most surprisingly, during the interview, Mayweather said something that extreme Bitcoin enthusiasts least wanted to hear:
"I believe there will be another cryptocurrency one day as big as Bitcoin."

The statement caused outrage and booing from the audience. However, Mayweather did not specify which cryptocurrency he believes could rival Bitcoin.
Enthusiastic Dogecoin Supporters
As a meme coin, Dogecoin gained significant attention this year due to Musk's promotion and rose to the top ten in market value. On the second day of the conference, an enthusiastic fan jumped on stage, tore open his suit to reveal a large Dogecoin logo, and shouted to the audience:
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have an urgent announcement, Doge to the moon!"
Later, Twitter user @maxotg_ admitted in a post that he was the enthusiastic fan.

Cash is Trash
While privacy coin Monero's wallet provider Cake Wallet is not directly related to Bitcoin, it still sponsored the event. At the event, it showcased a trash can filled with nearly worthless Venezuelan bolivars (1 TWD = 112,269 VES) due to inflation, highlighting the inflation issues of fiat currency and showcasing Bitcoin's advantages in this regard.
