1. Establishing the North American Bitcoin Mining Council
He mentioned that he has spoken with North American Bitcoin miners, who have pledged to disclose their current and planned use of renewable energy and have called on global miners to participate. MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor stated that he hosted the meeting yesterday, and major North American miners have agreed to form the Bitcoin Mining Council to promote transparency in mining energy globally, as well as sustainability.
Participants including ArgoBlockchain, Blockcap, Core Scientific, Galaxy Digital, HiveBlockchain, Hut 8 Mining, Marathon Digital Holdings, Riot Blockchain have joined this organization, standardizing mining energy reports, and pursuing social enterprise responsibility ESG, education, and market growth.
