Enhancing GPT Search Experience with GPT Store
GPT Store was launched yesterday, where users can explore and use various GPT models in the "GPTs Explore" page. Users can browse popular trends on the community leaderboard, recommended models, or search by category. Current categories include DALL·E, writing, research, programming, education, and lifestyle.
Some of the initial key GPT models launched include:
- AllTrails: A model that customizes travel recommendations based on individual needs
- Consensus: A GPT model based on two billion academic papers
- Code Tutor: A tutor for programming language coding
- Canva: A design model for presentations or images linked to Canva
- Books: A model that recommends book reading
- CK-12 Flexi: A tutor for learning math and science
Platform-based Business Model of GPT Store
Users can also train models themselves and publicly list them, with the opportunity to participate in revenue sharing plans. The team stated that creators can earn income based on the usage of GPT models, and detailed information on this feature is expected to be released in the first quarter of this year, potentially ushering in new business opportunities.
Similar to how users need to be ChatGPT Plus or other paid users to use GPTs, GPT Store also requires users to be paid subscribers to access and use the platform.
ChatGPT Team Paid Plans
With the launch of GPT Store, OpenAI introduced a new pricing plan - ChatGPT Team, aimed at providing services tailored to companies with teams of up to 150 people, priced at $25 per month.
ChatGPT Team, in addition to the existing features of ChatGPT Plus, will offer a higher message input frequency limit, approximately twice that of ChatGPT Plus, provide team workspace for sharing GPTs, team management permissions, and a commitment not to use data for training models.
Similar to the Enterprise version, ChatGPT Team also does not use data to train models, addressing past concerns about data security and privacy for enterprises. With collaboration features, administrators can choose how to share GPTs for internal use and which external GPTs can be used within the company, aiming to attract more corporate users.
OpenAI Strategy: Enhancing Profitability
- It is clear that OpenAI's move with GPT Store aims to turn ChatGPT into a platform-based business model, which will help increase its influence and capture the value of creators to increase revenue.
- On the other hand, by offering the ChatGPT Team paid plan with price differentiation to meet different user needs, OpenAI aims to earn more consumer surplus.
In the competitive AI race, OpenAI is stepping up to prove its profitability.
