World ID Expands to Singapore
According to an announcement by the Worldcoin Foundation here, following the launch of World ID 2.0 in mid-December and the open-source iris recognition pipeline, Worldcoin now offers World ID verification services in Singapore through custom Orb hardware devices, with currently five verification locations.
Additionally, project contributor Tools for Humanity TFH has become a member of the Singapore Cryptocurrency Association ACCESS and the Singapore FinTech Association SFA.

According to the Worldcoin Orb website, World ID verification is currently available in the following countries:
Chile
Germany
United States
Hong Kong
South Korea
Japan
Singapore
Argentina
Mexico
Spain
Portugal
Services Suspended in India, Brazil, France
Despite the launch of services in Singapore, World ID has recently been halted in India and registration services in Brazil and France have been terminated.
However, Worldcoin emphasized to the media outlet The Block that the suspension of services in Brazil and France is temporary and will be reintroduced on a large scale in 2024.
Regarding India, the Worldcoin Foundation stated:
With the commitment to developing and launching processes that meet demand, are secure and orderly, iris verification services in India have been temporarily reduced.
During this recent cryptocurrency market recovery, Worldcoin's WLD token saw a nearly 100% increase on 12/16 and 12/17, reaching $4.7, but has since retraced to around $3.5.
