South Korean giant LG applies for trademark for cryptocurrency electronic wallet ThinQ Wallet
The South Korean giant LG has applied for a trademark for ThinQ Wallet with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). It appears that LG intends to launch its own cryptocurrency wallet under the name ThinQ Wallet.

As early as the end of last year, there were reports from South Korea that LG was developing a cryptocurrency project. At that time, ETNews reported that employees at LG's technology park could make payments using a special smart machine app and cryptocurrency. Recently, the Dutch tech blog LetsGoDigital confirmed this rumor.
On 7/2, LG submitted a trademark application for ThinQ Wallet. The registration category is 9/36, indicating relevance to smartphone application software, mobile payment software, blockchain software, digital wallets for cryptocurrencies, and more. Prior to the application, ThinQ had been used in the development of artificial intelligence AI, and with the latest trademark application, they are expanding its use to cryptocurrency wallets.
Today, more and more tech companies are entering the world of cryptocurrencies. HTC released the Exodus smartphone last year, a blockchain smartphone that can only be purchased with cryptocurrency.
Earlier this year, the Samsung Galaxy S10 was launched with a built-in cryptocurrency wallet, known as the Samsung Blockchain Wallet. It allows users to manage Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies, but does not currently support Bitcoin.
