Saga, the underlying chain of the game, has shown impressive coin performance, and will conduct a staking snapshot in April.

Following the launch of the L1 - Saga gaming application on Binance's Launchpool, the SAGA token saw an impressive debut. According to Saga's CEO, Rebecca Liao, it is the "L1 for launching L1." Unlike traditional blockchains, developers use Saga to create their own chains or chainlets, which can operate independently or connect with each other to support decentralized applications. This approach, known as horizontal scalability, allows for what is called "infinite scalability." Currently, there are over 350 projects in development within the Saga ecosystem, with a majority focusing on gaming.

Following the Launchpool event on Binance, the gaming application L1 - Saga saw a remarkable performance of its SAGA token upon listing. According to Saga's CEO Rebecca Liao, it is the "L1 for launching L1." Unlike traditional blockchains, developers use Saga to create their own chains or chainlets, which can operate independently or interconnect to support decentralized applications. This approach, known as horizontal scaling, allows for what is called "infinite scalability." Currently, there are over 350 projects being developed within the Saga ecosystem, with a majority focusing on gaming.

Key features emphasized by Saga include:

  • Saga does not directly charge end-users network fees, but leaves it to developers to monetize
  • Saga allows transaction fees to be in any IBC-compatible token, not just the Saga token
  • Saga's chainlets enable developers to build new projects, with developers bearing transaction costs paid in SAGA tokens, used to ensure computing power for their applications, thus potentially adding value to the SAGA token

The player airdrop event launched by Saga in December last year was a great success, especially among players participating in Saga's test network games. This initiative rewarded top players with SAGA tokens, and games from other chains, such as Shrapnel based on Avalanche, also joined the event, expanding Saga's appeal and user base.

To expand its influence, Saga introduced its gaming publishing division Saga Origins in March. Despite not announcing any games yet, Saga Origins is set to provide comprehensive support for game developers, including user acquisition and community engagement. It claims to be the first and only L1 Web3 game publisher, aiming to shift the responsibility of attracting users from developers to the platform itself.

After token issuance, Saga also announced that it will take a snapshot for stakers in April this year.
