Microsoft's blockchain platform Azure recently released a non-fungible token (NFT) called Azure Heroes, designed to reward its developer community.

The project's new webpage is called Azure Heroes, described as a new fun way to earn digital collectibles that make a meaningful impact on the technical community. In essence, Azure Heroes are used to reward active actions within the Azure community, such as mentoring, giving demos, providing sample code, or publishing articles on Azure.

Do good work, earn a “badger.”

The slogan presented by Azure encourages community members to strive to earn these badge rewards and assign value to them. Microsoft also announced on 12/4 that the supply of each badge is limited, ranging from 100 to 10,000. According to Microsoft:

Microsoft and Enjin have collaborated to create a blockchain-based identification process in a local pilot. The badges of Azure Heroes are created through many original and unique designs, which have been minted as digital assets on the Ethereum public blockchain.

This NFT will be publicly verifiable and issued by sending a QR code to the awardees, who can choose to install the Enjin wallet by scanning it.

This news seems to have significantly boosted the price of Enjin tokens. According to CoinMarketCap, Enjin Coin surged over 44% in the past 24 hours.

In addition, according to a previous report by CoinDesk here, after receiving an undisclosed investment, Enjin became one of the first investment companies in the new venture capital division of Blockchain, a wallet and data provider. The project also became an official partner this spring on Samsung Electronics' flagship product, the Galaxy S10 smartphone with blockchain capabilities.
