Through its official token BAT, it will introduce token economics to Wikipedia in this collaboration. Brave continues to connect with major platforms According to the official monitor Batgrowth, there are currently over 246,018 verified publishers on the Brave platform. The number of applications in 2019 has significantly increased. Publishers can only open ad revenue and receive tips after verification. The report points out that according to official Wikipedia data, there are approximately 122,000 active editors actively contributing to the website. The downside is that due to Wikipedia's complex contribution system, BAT token rewards will be sent to Wikipedia officials instead of directly to authors, meaning rewards will be distributed by a few individuals, somewhat deviating from Brave's original intention. Although not the ideal scenario, at least the vast voluntary editing community of Wikipedia can earn some additional income, and this move may also impact the project Everipedia, which is known as the blockchain encyclopedia.
