Opera was founded in Norway in 1995 and is the first browser to support Web3 and come with an in-built cryptocurrency wallet. In December 2018, Opera introduced the cryptocurrency wallet to its Android browser, and in April of the same year, it launched a desktop browser with an in-built cryptocurrency wallet. Opera is currently available on devices such as Microsoft Windows, Android, iOS, macOS, and Linux, with approximately 320 million users worldwide.

According to a report, in this collaboration, both parties aim to establish a bridge that connects all real-world businesses by introducing public blockchain technology to the Opera browser.

Prior to this announcement, the internet browser company based in Norway has been actively expanding its blockchain-related businesses. This includes the launch of Opera Touch, a browser that supports blockchain technology. The browser is compatible with the Ethereum protocol, Ethereum Web3 API, dApps on Ethereum, and all ERC-20 tokens.

Ontology has also been in the news for various positive developments. On June 25th, financial payment service provider Zeux announced the integration of ONT into its payment app, allowing users to spend ONT in their daily lives. Additionally, on June 30th, Ontology celebrated its one-year anniversary since the mainnet launch and stated in a blog post:

After two years of research and development, a year of stable mainnet operation, and ongoing development, we have built a foundation of trust and collaboration and achieved the first step of our vision - preparing for all businesses. We will continue to adhere to a true business strategy, take solid steps forward, and break through technical barriers. We look forward to seeing more changes in the future.
