Research firm Messari has compiled data on the number of institutional investments made in the past six months, with Binance Labs leading both in terms of the quantity of investments and as the top lead investor.

Binance Labs Emerges as the Most Active Venture Capital Institution
Research institution Messari reported that over the past six months, Binance Labs has completed 17 investment transactions, with 14 of them being lead investments. The number of lead investments by Binance Labs far exceeds that of other institutions.
In addition, Binance Labs also provided follow-up funding for Maverick Protocol and Radiant Capital, and announced a private investment in Pendle Finance.
Messari: Emerging Protocols Gaining Binance's Favor
Research institution Messari stated that Radiant Capital, Pendle Finance, and Maverick Protocol have gained Binance's favor after gaining popularity on emerging Layer 2 solutions. This is also a strategic shift to encourage established DeFi protocols to expand to the Binance Smart Chain (BSC).
Active Venture Capital Institutions in the Past Six Months
According to the Messari chart, Coinbase Ventures made 14 investments, closely following Binance Labs, but most were not lead investments. Other institutions include Big Brain Holdings and Balaji Srinivasan, former CTO of Coinbase.
Controversial DWF Labs also had a lead investment count second only to Binance Labs, but due to its record of categorizing market-making services as investments, it should be viewed differently from traditional venture capital.
