According to blockchain media Cointelegraph, the world's largest adult entertainment platform Pornhub has announced that it will accept Bitcoin (BTC) and Litecoin (LTC) as payment methods for its platform services.

Pornhub Supports Bitcoin Payments

The Vice President of Pornhub, Corey Price, stated in a press release:

"As a leader in the adult entertainment industry with over 130 million daily visitors, Pornhub is excited to offer our users the option to use these widely-used digital currencies. Our team will continue to innovate, test, and implement new technologies for consumers who are ahead of the mainstream market."

The adult entertainment industry is a crucial market globally, and Pornhub holds a leading position within it, having been founded in 2007. According to SimilarWeb data, the platform ranks ninth globally in website traffic, with over 3 billion visitors in the past six months.

Although this is the first announcement from Pornhub about supporting Bitcoin, in fact, the platform began accepting cryptocurrency payments as early as 2018.

In April 2018, after announcing support for the privacy-focused cryptocurrency Verge XVG, Pornhub has been exploring the possibilities of cryptocurrency payments. Since then, the platform has also added support for tokens such as Horizen (ZEN), Tron (TRX), and PumaPay (PMA).
