Saga Mobile | Paywall Protocol Access Protocol airdrops $250 worth of ACS tokens to holders

The Solana Paywall Protocol Access Protocol airdropped ACS tokens worth approximately 250 USD to Saga mobile users yesterday, turning Saga mobile into a precise marketing channel for Solana and blockchain users.

What is Access Protocol

Unlike the fragmented subscription media landscape where users have to individually pay subscription fees across multiple platforms and dates to access content, Access Protocol provides a unified payment platform that connects creators and readers. Users only need to select the creators they are interested in and stake ACS tokens to access the content, eliminating the hassle of recurrent payments.

Furthermore, Access Protocol's payment method involves staking ACS tokens, meaning that if creators do not adjust the minimum staking threshold, users can continue to access the content, offering more sustainability compared to one-time payment subscription models.

Creators earn revenue from the inflation of staked ACS tokens, with half of the newly added tokens distributed to creators and the other half to stakers, encouraging the sustainable retention of both parties.

ACS Token Inflation Mechanism Source

Since its launch in 2022, the platform has attracted not only many individual creators but also content-capable enterprises such as Wu Shuo, The Block, and CoinGecko, who have adopted the protocol as an alternative subscription channel for users.

Saga Mobile Users Receive ACS Token Airdrop

Recently, the BONK token airdrop has brought benefits to holders, revitalizing the previously stagnant Saga phones and turning them into hot-selling items in the market. With a total of 20,000 units sold out, the original $999 Saga phones are now being resold on eBay for over $5,000.

The Access Protocol team has also distributed their native tokens as airdrops to Saga mobile users, with each user receiving approximately $250 worth of ACS tokens, totaling around 100,000 tokens.

However, only around 3,500 users have activated their Saga wallet addresses, indicating that the actual number of users eligible to receive the airdrop will be fewer.

Blockchain Phones as Precise Marketing Channels

This second airdrop project has sparked imaginations about the airdrop potential of Saga phones in the market. The project team recognizes that instead of flooding the blockchain with footprints susceptible to front-running attacks, conducting airdrops directly to blockchain phone holders can be a more precise and effective way to reach Solana or blockchain enthusiasts. This experimental Saga phone has effectively become a VIP candidate for future airdrops.

With Saga phone holders having precise labels such as "real users," "Solana," and "Web3 heavy users" inherently, they are highly attractive to project teams, and it is expected that more airdrops will target this customer group in the future.
