Scroll launches the Session Zero loyalty program with points traceability, allowing users to check their points.

The Ethereum Layer2 project Scroll announced in April that it will launch a reward point tracking activity called Session Zero. Users only need to cross-chain their assets to the Scroll network to earn points. Today, the front-end interface for point calculation has also been officially launched, bringing the token issuance closer to reality.

Scroll Launches Points Reward Program Session Zero

The Scroll team announced in mid-April that users only need to use the native cross-chain bridge to transfer ETH or wstETH tokens to Scroll, or use LayerZero to transfer STONE tokens to be eligible for the current points activity.

Points will be calculated based on the amount and time the assets stay on the mainnet, and the activity will track records from the mainnet launch to the present.

Today, the team launched the front-end interface for airdrop inquiries, stating that in addition to calculating cross-chain assets, they will also assist users who have spent significant gas fees. Furthermore, additional rewards will be given to early supporters who were already using Scroll before the Bernoulli upgrade.

Transitioning Sharply to a Points System

Scroll's method of calculating points retrospectively may have disappointed some users who had high expectations and were frequently interacting with the network, which may also be the case for many small users. As pointed out by cryptocurrency researcher Ignas, for users with limited funds, "participation-based airdrops" may hold more potential than "liquidity mining airdrops," as the latter is more likely to turn into a money game.

After years of not investing in fiat, how did researcher Ignas achieve a hundredfold return with coin rolling?

However, for the Scroll project team, given the experience of other projects using points, it can effectively reduce the negative impact of whale addresses and may be a necessary compromise for public chains that are heavily targeted by airdrop hunters.
