Nvidia has topped the Forbes "America's Best Employers" list, which evaluates over 60 criteria including financial performance, customer and employee satisfaction, sustainability, remote work policies, and more. The list is not industry-specific, with Google's parent company Alphabet ranking second, tax and financial software company Intuit in third place, Microsoft in fifth place, and Apple unexpectedly falling outside the top ten to eleventh place. Forbes reports that Nvidia leads in many indicators, especially in employee satisfaction, career development opportunities, company benefits and culture, as well as solid financial strength, all receiving high praise. Approximately 2,000 publicly listed companies qualified for the list, with 300 making the cut.
Beau Davidson, Vice President of Employee Experience at Nvidia, told Forbes that Nvidia systematically listens to employees' feedback through methods such as quarterly surveys, CEO Q&A sessions, and virtual suggestion boxes, and provides perks like snacks and coffee based on the feedback.
Nvidia also designates two days off every quarter when the entire company shuts down to allow everyone to rest. The company offers internal training and consultants to help employees with future career planning.
Data from Forbes' survey company, People Data Labs, indicates that Nvidia has a low employee turnover rate and is widely considered a symbol of a happy workplace.
